Les 17 et 18 février, présentation de nouveaux Chantiers aux Subsistances. La maison se confirme, peut-être plus haute mais entourée de fils, rouges. “Parfois on s’enferme tellement qu’on en devient prisonnier”.
On the 1èth and 18th of February, public opening of the new Chantiers at les Subsistances. The house is confirming, maybe taller but threaded with red cord. “Sometimes you close yourself so much you become in prison”.
Pour la première fois lors du Chantier du TNG, Gilles jouait pour un public. Il participe régulièrement à l’atelier que nous organisons les samedis aux Subsistances.
For the first time with the Chantier at the TNG, Gilles performed for an audience. He participates regularly to the workshop we organise every Saturday at les Subsistances.
We started working during the Chantier at the TNG with a yellow mask. It changed completely the way actors are moving. The mask is worn when the character is an immigrant.
Nous avons commencé à travailler lors du Chantier au TNG avec un masque jaune. Il a complétement changé la façon dont bougent les comédiens. Le masque est porté quand le personnage est un immigré.

For this workhop for pedagogs, we invited 9 kids from the neighbor social center, plus 4 of our regular pupils and our actors. In this workshop, Christiane summarized in an hour and a half the whole efficiency of her method, not to be applied as is, but as a source of inspiration (for example, in the photos, how to play an extreme joy then an infinite sadness, in the same story).
Globally, it seemed to be a very complete training giving a lot of different approaches for direction. Finally, even if being a director at Image Aiguë or in the Comédie de Valence (Richard Brunel also led a workshop) doesn’t seem such a different job, but of course making theater with children and not starting the artistic work with a drama text doesn’t bring you to the top of our french theater hierarchy.
Pour cet atelier à destination des pédagogues, nous avons invité 9 enfants du centre social voisin, 4 participants à nos ateliers réguliers et nos comédiens. Dans cet atelier, Christiane a résumé en une heure trente toute l’efficacité de sa méthode, pas pour qu’elle soit appliquée telle-quelle, mais comme source d’inspiration. (Par exemple, sur les photos, comment jouer une joie extrême et une tristesse infinie dans la même histoire).
Globalement, ça avait l’air d’une formation très complète donnant à voir beaucoup d’approches de mise-en-scène différentes. Finalement, être metteur-en-scène à Image Aiguë ou à la Comédie de Valence (Richard Brunel menait un atelier) ne semble pas être un métier très différent. Mais bien entendu faire du théâtre avec des enfants et ne pas commencer sont travail artistique par un texte dramatique ne vous place pas au sommet de la hiérarchie théâtrale français.
Intervention lors du PREAC au TNG. Pour environ 70 enseignants, professionnels des théâtres et de compagnies, nous présentons un atelier le matin et le soir un Chantier. Pendant trois jours, ils ont un programme chargé de conférences, débats, ateliers… sur le thème “L’art de la mise en scène : nommer, comprendre, diriger le jeu de l’acteur”.
We did an intervention at the PREAC in TNG. For about 70 teachers, people working in theatre venues and companies, we presented a workshop in the morning then a Chantier in the evening. For three days, they follow a heavy programme of conferences, debates, workshops about “The art of stage direction : name, understand, direct the actor”.
Lénael habite sur les Pentes de la Croix-Rousse. Jeune fille très gracieuse, elle a commencé dans la Compagnie dans “Les Ogres ou le Pouvoir rend joyeux et infatigable”. De plus en plus elle développe les expressions de son visage avec finesse.
Sa jupe de Ménine est elle beaucoup plus ancienne.
Lénael lives in les Pentes de la Croix-Rousse area. She is a very gracious girl who started in the Company in “Les Ogres ou le Pouvoir rend joyeux et infatigable” show. She develops more and more the expressions of her face with delicacy.

Au TNG nous avons du mettre de côté la recherche sur le vertical amorcée en octobre. De plus de 5 mètres de haut sous grill aux Subsistances, on est passé à 2,80…
La recherche que Christiane conduit a la forme d’un éventail : les pistes sont développées dans différentes directions, d’un Chantier à l’autre il n’y a pas forcément de suite.

Christiane leads the research in the form of a fan : pathes are developped in various directions, from a Chantier to another is not necesserly a following.
Depuis lundi, nous avons repris la recherche pour le prochain Chantier. Il aura lieu au Théâtre Nouvelle Génération-CDN de Lyon, le 1er février prochain.
